Types of Loft Conversion
We have vast experience in all types of loft conversion, so can help plan, design and build the most effective and affordable solution.
Velux Loft Conversions
Velux loft conversions are suitable when your existing loft / attic space has a height of at least 2.2m. They do not usually require planning permission as the Velux (roof) windows simply fit into the line of the roof. They are a relatively fast and affordable option.
Dormer Loft Conversions
A dormer loft conversion is a window featured extension of your roof, usually installed to provide more space and headroom within your loft. They typically require planning permission, but can considerably increase the livable floor space and value of your home.
Hip To Gable Conversions
Suitable for homes that are detached or semi-detached and have existing hip-end roof structures, where the sides of the roof slope inwards towards the ridge of the roof rather than being a vertical ‘gable’ wall on the side of your house. It is normally necessary to get planning permission for hip-to-gable loft conversions.
Wrap Around Dormer Conversions
This combines a hip-end dormer and a rear dormer so that the internal space is significantly improved. They often require more construction, but they also provide a great deal more space. Planning permission is generally required for wrap around dormer loft conversions.
